Not sure what to do next? Create a Vision Board so the next time you feel sort of lost in your journey you can look to see what your goals are. This is what will anchor you. The main thing is you have to BELIEVE that you can achieve your goals. Vision Boards help provide clarity. Many people don't have success becuase they don't pinpoint EXACTLY where they want to go. It's like throwing darts while blindfolded, you're just hoping one hits the board.

While on your weight loss journey you have to know where you want to be in 3 months, 6 months and a year from now. Once you reach one goal you move on to the next. After reaching that goal you move on to the next. Always creating new goals for yourself to achieve. For me this was 5 lbs. at a time. I knew I could lose 5 lbs. and I had done it many times before. What I didn't know was if I could lose 92 lbs and get to my goal weight. That I had NEVER done. So I kept the goals S.M.A.R.T and created a vision board for my weight loss. Once I reached a 5 lb. loss I would reward myself with NON-FOOD items. I have created a printable version of my very first goal guide. Mine wasn't this fancy because I just wrote it out on a piece of paper but I wanted you give you the same tools that helped me lose 92lbs so I created this.

What are S.M.A.R.T Goals?

Specific, significant, stretching

Measurable, meaningful, motivational

Attainable, achievable, action-oriented

Realistic, relevant, reasonable, rewarding

Time-based, tangible, trackable

Example: Goal is to  Lose 20 lbs. by Jan. 1 then you break it down even further by making smaller goals that move you to your ultimate goal just by acheiving those smaller goals.

Smaller Goals would be:

Lift Weights 3x Week

Empty Stomach Cardio 4x a week

Eat 3 Low Carb Dinners each week

Limit to 1 treat meal a week

Drink 60-90 oz of water per day

With Creating A Vision then comes the need to TAKE ACTION

To follow up from the video yesterday... (if you haven't watched it go back and watch now) Talking about goals and wanting to lose weight is great but if you never put in the work then a month from now or a year from now you will still be in the same spot. During your first 30 days it's my goal for you to have the tools to make your transformation successful! One of the best books I've ever read/listened to that helped me to start taking action was The 5 Second Rule.

I highly suggest this book. I listened to this book on Audible because it was quicker to listen while driving and getting ready for the day vs. finding time to read. I'm happy to share with you all what works. No, I don't make anything by recommending this stuff on the site... I just share with you what has truly helped to change my life for the better. In hopes that it will give you a little nugget of hope that you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

I cannot express how much this book helped me to start getting my daily stuff done plus get rid of Anxiety/Panic Attacks... which are NOT fun at all. Those of you who also have these know what I'm talking about.

It's crazy how one minute you can be totally fine then the next you're freaking out! For no reason. I couldn't wrap my mind around it until I listened to this book. Along with tons of prayers, doing Yoga from the Beachbody On Demand and getting to know myself and being at peace within myself. I'm happy to say, it's been months since I've had a panic attack and I'm not falling behind on tasks. Just 5,4,3,2,1...GO!

If you want to get the audio version here is a link to a FREE Audible Book. It's totally free if it's your first time accepting a book from a friend.

If you don't want to listen to the book you can get it from any major book store or from Amazon.

This is the first book that is recommended for your transformation.

Growing as a person during your weight loss transformation  is HUGE because this is what helps you to keep the weight off.

Your goal for this book is to listen to 20 minutes a day or read 10 pages. You can always read or listen to more if your time allows.

We will be reading this as a group. Everyone who goes through their first 30 Days with GFHM will be reading this book. It's a great foundation.
