FAT FIGHTING SUPPLEMENTS

Continuing on with our fat fighting supplements.  Here is another one I have tried and many people see great success with this supplement. 

CLA - Conjugated Linoleum Acid

Conjugated linoleic acid is an omega-6 polyunsaturated essential fatty acid (EFA) which is formed from linoleic acid in bacterium via a specific isomerase (a type of enzyme). Basically it shrinks fat cells. 

It is naturally occurring in meat and dairy products. In addition to reducing fat in the body, CLA has also been studied for anti-cancer properties.  CLA has been quickly growing in popularity in the fitness world. Since it's popularity is still relatively new, many people still have never heard of CLA. It is sold at almost all nutrition stores, and it is highly advertised on the Internet. 

CLA usually comes in 1000 milligram softgels, and is supposed to be taken with meals three to five times daily. You will usually have to take this supplement for about 2 months before you start seeing the results.

Your body ends up using free fatty acids as a fuel source caused by CLA. As a result, if you have more free fatty acids in your blood while you are exercising, you will be able to burn more fat while exercising. However, if you have all of those free fatty acids in your blood and you don't exercise, you will not burn fat at a high rate. So you have to exercise with this one. 

Green Tea

Green Tea is a great supplement for raising the metabolism because of the EGCG in the green tea. It activates the fat burning genes in the stomach to speed up weight loss by 77 percent. 

You can drink Green Tea or you can take the EGCG supplements. I prefer to drink green tea because some of the supplements make my heart race or flutter a little bit. Probably because it's a more concentrated supplement than drinking. But I know when I drink green tea sweetened with stevia it cuts out all my cravings for sweet foods. I have been able to tell that just doing that when I feel a craving coming on helps so much. 

Green Tea also improves insulin use in the body so it prevents blood sugar spikes and crashes that cause fatigue and cravings. 

You can try green tea iced or hot. It doesn't matter how you drink it. The benefits are great either way. This is something you'd want to drink early in the day because it does have caffeine. Or just make sure you purchase caffeine free green tea. 

If you're out you can try the Starbucks Green Tea. It has a spearmint flavor. They do put sweetener in it so make sure you order it with no sweetener and then add your own stevia. Otherwise who knows how many grams of sugar you get and it defeats the whole purpose. 

These are my favorite Green Teas: I get these from Target or Walmart.
