DAY 15


You've come this far already! We are half way finished with your First 30 Days and you are still here. YAY!!!

At this time you've set goals and I'm sure you've reached your first goal to lose at least 5 lbs. If you've been sticking to the plan and getting your workouts in then I know you've achieved at least 5 lbs lost or your clothes are fitting looser. However, if you haven't lost any weight and your clothes don't seem to be fitting any different then you need to take a hard look at what you've been doing with your time.

Have you been working out at least 30 minutes a day 6 times a week? Have you been drinking 60-80oz of water? Have you been eating Whole Foods? Or have you been eating mindlessly over these last 2 weeks and allowing little treats here and there? Maybe eating carbs or sugar late at night?  Be honest with yourself and get back on track if you haven't already. Add more cardio to your week. Commit to doing 30-60 minute walks 3 days a week at first and go up from there in addition to your workouts with Beachbody On Demand. You can find fun Treadmill Routines to music here.

Go back and review some of the previous days motivation if you need to. But DON'T GIVE UP! There is joy in the journey! Not everyone's path will be the same but I ask that you give it your 100% and nothing less. Do this for YOU! 

Earlier we talked about Goal Setting and now you know that your goal must be attainable. Losing 80 lbs. in 3 months is unreasonable. So if you see that you are not going to achieve that goal you will get a sense of failure from losing 10 lbs. in a month even though thats a HUGE success. Losing 80 lbs. in a year is a reasonable goal that allows for your body to adjust to plateaus and let's you still enjoy life while you're losing weight. 

Celebrate your successes no matter how small. Don't minimize their importance because every step in the right direction will bring you closer to your goal. No one is perfect and very few people follow a diet plan or lifestyle change exactly how it's laid out. That's totally normal because not everyone lives the same type of life with the same circumstances. If you have a daily goal posted and you don't achieve it then make sure you achieve it the next day.  For example... my goal has always been to workout early in the morning so I make sure I actually do the workout. This doesn't happen every day but I know the next day I will make sure I get it done. Same goes if you hate a particular exercise, make yourself do that one first to get it out of the way. You'll get a greater sense of accomplishment from doing that and you won't have dread hanging over your head. Just get it done and don't think about it. Thinking causes more harm than good. Everything doesn't have to be planned out perfectly for it to work but what does work is ACTION

Lastly, find the people who have what you want and do what they do. You'll find it isn't as difficult as you thought it was. Success is a sum of small actions performed daily. Keep your eye on the PRIZE and be consistent. Your success will come. Shift your focus from what you don't want to what you DO want. 

So instead of telling yourself " I'm fat so I'll just eat fast food today and work on myself tomorrow" tell yourself "I'm a work in progress and I will fight through today so I can wake up proud of my self tomorrow morning"
